We know that there are fewer opportunities to take the SAT or ACT given the cancellations to date. This means that many students may not be able to take these tests more than once. The fact is that there are diminishing returns in taking these tests multiple times, and we hope students will not feel compelled to do so now or in the future.

Yale requires applicants to report results from either the ACT or the SAT.

While applicants will still be expected to submit standardized test results as part of their application, we know you might not have the opportunity to take these tests multiple times.

accept SAT and ACT scores from November test dates for Early Decision applicants and scores from January test dates for Regular Decision applicants.

will continue to require students submit SAT or ACT scores.

requires either the SAT or all ACT scores, does not require the writing section, considers superstore

At this time, our advice is that students should do their best to prepare for the SAT or ACT — students should not feel pressure to take the test multiple times.

  SAT or ACT required

  我们还是需要 SAT 或 ACT 考试,哪怕考试次数减少了。而且我们认为考试次数减少了,并不会影响优秀学生的考试成绩;

  标化考试成绩只是我们录取评估过程中诸多因素的一个而已,它重要但不是唯一;

You will not be disadvantaged in any way

will not consider SAT Subject Tests for first-year applicants during the 2020-2021 admissions cycle (Class of 2025)

While our policy has long been that SAT subject tests are recommended but not required, now seems the appropriate time to reiterate that applicants who do not submit subject tests will not be disadvantaged in our process.

not required SATsubject,Not required AP exams

For the 2020-21 admissions cycle, SAT Subject Tests will be optional (i.e., neither required nor recommended) for applicants.

AP:will continue to grant credit and placement for these exams

Beginning with the Class of 2025, Brown will no longer recommend the submission of SAT Subject Tests.

  第一类是基于评估阅读,逻辑,写作或通用知识的考试: SAT 或 ACT ;

  第二类是基于科目知识的评估考试: SAT 科目考试或 AP考试;

We know that there are fewer opportunities to take the SAT or ACT given the cancellations to date. This means that many students may not be able to take these tests more than once. The fact is that there are diminishing returns in taking these tests multiple times, and we hope students will not feel compelled to do so now or in the future.

Standardized tests are just one component of a student’s application and are viewed within the context of the student’s entire file. There is no minimum score required for admission, nor is there a score that will guarantee admission.

While applicants will still be expected to submit standardized test results as part of their application, we know you might not have the opportunity to take these tests multiple times.

Please know that we do not expect applicants to take these exams more than once. SAT or ACT test scores are only one part of our holistic review. We will continue to review our test policies as more information about the exam schedule becomes available.

Cornell University requires freshman applicants to submit either the SAT or all ACT scores.

We routinely review the role of standardized testing in our admissions process. Testing agencies including the College Board and the ACT have cancelled multiple test dates in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. We believe these are responsible decisions, and we recognize the impact fewer test dates will have on students’ plans.

Applicants can satisfy our testing requirement in one of two ways:

SAT (The essay section of the SAT is optional.)

ACT (The writing section of the ACT is optional.)

  SAT(写作部分可选)

  ACT(写作部分可选。)

Please note that we accept SAT and ACT scores from November test dates for Early Decision applicants and scores from January test

  dates for Regular Decision applicants.
